What is Memento Mori?

Memento mori is a Latin phrase meaning “remember you must die.” The concept of remembering death gives the virtue of keeping death at the forefront of one’s thoughts as a reminder that nothing is permanent while Dia de los Muertos celebrates the lives of family and friends who have passed away.
